Marcus, Ted & Ben sit down with the Pop Shop Podcast to discuss what prompted them to come back less than a year after 2025’s Rushmere.

It’s been less than a year since the release of Rushmere, the highly anticipated album from Marcus, Ted & Ben. And now, they are back with a bang, surprising their fans with yet another album. The trio recently sat down with the Pop Shop Podcast to talk about their latest project and what inspired them to come back so soon.

For those who may not be familiar with Marcus, Ted & Ben, they are a dynamic trio who have been making waves in the music industry since 2020. Their unique blend of pop, rock, and electronic music has captured the hearts of music lovers all over the world. With their catchy tunes and meaningful lyrics, they have become a household name in the music scene.

The Pop Shop Podcast kicked off the interview by asking the trio what prompted them to come back with a new album so soon after the success of Rushmere. Marcus, the lead singer, explained that the inspiration came from their fans. “We were overwhelmed by the response we received for Rushmere. Our fans were constantly asking us when we would release new music, and that really motivated us to get back into the studio and create something new for them.”

Ted, the guitarist, added that the success of Rushmere also gave them the confidence to experiment with their music. “We were blown away by the love and support we received for Rushmere. It gave us the freedom to push our boundaries and try new things with our music. We wanted to challenge ourselves and our fans with something fresh and exciting.”

Ben, the drummer, chimed in, saying that the current state of the world also played a role in their decision to release a new album. “2020 was a tough year for everyone, and we wanted to bring some positivity and joy into people’s lives through our music. We believe that music has the power to heal and unite, and we wanted to do our part in spreading some happiness.”

The trio also revealed that they had been working on the new album during the lockdown. They used the time to hone their skills and experiment with different sounds. Marcus shared, “The lockdown gave us the opportunity to focus solely on our music. We were able to explore different genres and sounds, and that really helped us in creating this new album.”

When asked about the theme of the new album, Ted explained that it is all about growth and self-discovery. “We wanted to create an album that people could relate to. The songs on this album are about our personal experiences and the lessons we have learned along the way. We hope that our fans can connect with the music and find comfort in knowing that they are not alone in their struggles.”

The trio also shared that they have collaborated with some amazing artists on this album, including Grammy-nominated producer, Max Martin. They were thrilled to work with such talented individuals and felt that it added a new dimension to their music.

As the interview came to an end, Marcus, Ted & Ben expressed their gratitude to their fans for their unwavering support. They also thanked the Pop Shop Podcast for giving them the opportunity to share their journey and their new album with the world.

In conclusion, Marcus, Ted & Ben’s comeback with a new album less than a year after Rushmere is a testament to their passion and dedication towards their music.
