Black People Knew This Would Happen

Generational experience has taught us valuable lessons. As we have witnessed time and time again, when the state builds a weapon for someone else, it inevitably finds its way back to us. This is a harsh reality that Black people have known for far too long. And yet, despite our warnings and protests, our voices have often been silenced or ignored. But now, as we face yet another wave of violence and oppression, it is time for the world to listen and to understand the root causes of our outrage.

The recent events in the United States, with the murder of George Floyd and the subsequent protests and calls for justice, have once again brought to light the systemic racism and violence that Black people have been enduring for centuries. And while it may seem like these issues are limited to a particular country or region, the truth is that they are deeply ingrained in the world’s history and present reality.

For too long, the state has built weapons and systems that are meant to oppress and control certain groups of people. Whether it be through the enslavement of African people, the colonization of indigenous lands, or the creation of oppressive laws and policies, the state has continuously used its power to maintain a system of inequality and injustice. And unfortunately, Black people have always been the primary targets of this violence and oppression.

But what is often overlooked is the fact that these weapons and systems not only harm the intended targets, but they also have a way of boomeranging back to harm those who created them. This is the lesson that generational experience has taught us. The violence and oppression that Black people have endured for so long have also affected and harmed other marginalized communities, as well as society as a whole.

For instance, the militarization of police forces in the United States has not only resulted in the deaths of countless Black people, but it has also led to increased violence and fear in communities of color. The surveillance and targeting of Muslim communities has not only violated their rights but has also created a culture of suspicion and fear among all citizens. The exploitation of natural resources and land in indigenous communities has not only harmed the environment but has also contributed to the displacement and suffering of these communities. The list goes on and on.

The point is, when the state creates weapons and systems of oppression, it sets in motion a vicious cycle that ultimately harms everyone. But it is the Black community that has always felt the brunt of this violence and has been at the forefront of fighting against it. We have been fighting for our rights, our dignity, and our lives for centuries, and now our voices are stronger than ever.

Despite the continuous struggles and hardships, we have never lost hope. We have always known that one day, the world will wake up and see the truth. And that day is now. The Black Lives Matter movement has become a global call for justice and equality, and it is not just about the lives of Black people, but about the future of humanity as a whole.

It is time for the world to acknowledge the long-standing injustices faced by Black people and to take action to dismantle the systems of oppression that continue to harm us all. This is not just a Black issue, but a human issue. And it is up to all of us to stand in solidarity and demand real change.

We cannot continue to ignore the warnings of generational experience. The state cannot continue to build weapons and systems that harm its own citizens and expect no consequences. It is time for a shift in power and a reimagining of society that values and protects all lives equally.

So as we continue to fight for justice and equality, let us also remember the lessons that generational experience has taught us. Let us work together to create a world where the state no longer has the power to harm its own people. Let us build a world where the mistakes of the past are not repeated, and where Black people and all marginalized communities can live without fear of violence and oppression.

The Black community has known this would happen. Now it is time for the rest of the world to listen and to join us in creating a better future for all.
