If you’re a fashion enthusiast and an avid TikTok user, chances are you’ve come across the viral and somewhat controversial Coperni one-leg jeans. People who have managed to get their hands on them are asking their followers for styling tips and even questioning whether or not they should keep them. Others who are still on the waitlist or simply curious about the trend are taking matters into their own hands and DIY-ing the jeans by cutting one leg off an old pair. But for those who are looking for an alternative take on this unique silhouette, I dared to try the Romeo Hunte Black One Leg Pant ($232, originally $725) – and let me tell you, it’s even more eye-catching (which, how is that even possible?).
These jeans have undoubtedly been one of the most polarizing pieces I’ve ever worn – and I’ve tried some pretty divisive clothing, from Skims butt-enhancing shapewear to the brand’s famous push-up nipple bra, and even many sheer naked dresses. After wearing the Romeo Hunte jeans around town to run errands and obviously attracting some attention (stares, double-takes, and the like), I’ve put together a detailed review of these jeans that are undeniably weird but exciting enough to spark conversations all over the internet.

What I Like About the Romeo Hunte One Leg Jeans
As someone who loves experimenting with bold looks, I was excited to try out this avant-garde design. I appreciate that these jeans are the focal point of any outfit, making styling simple and effortless – a white tee, heels, and sunglasses are all you need to complete the look. I also love that they have a straight fit, as a flare or super slim/skinny-cut leg would have made it difficult to walk in. These jeans zip up smoothly and don’t feel restrictive at all. While the denim isn’t stretchy, it is soft and comfortable against the skin – a must for me when trying out such a daring trend.
What to Consider Before Buying the Romeo Hunte One Leg Jeans
It’s safe to say that these jeans are not for the faint of heart, and they will definitely turn heads. If you’re not someone who enjoys trying out new trends, I would suggest attempting a DIY project before making this purchase, just to test the waters. Also, keep in mind that these jeans are quite heavy, mainly due to the patchwork design and extra shredding, which adds volume and texture. As one leg is completely free, the other will naturally feel weighed down in comparison when you’re wearing them. For reference, when rolled up, these jeans weigh just over 25.5 ounces, while my standard Levi’s weigh 20 ounces – and they have a whole extra leg of material!
It’s also worth noting that the cutoff on the right side of the pants is quite short. These jeans do reveal a hint of my right butt cheek from certain angles, and they’re a bit roomy in the waist area. I took a small, which, according to Romeo Hunte’s size chart, is the right size for my measurements, but the jeans were still a bit loose in the waist. However, if I had sized down, the single pant leg would have been too snug to pull up properly. As someone with athletic thighs, I often face this issue with jeans.
Who Are the Romeo Hunte One Leg Jeans Best For?
These jeans are perfect for someone who loves making a style statement and is not afraid to stand out. They are particularly suitable for parties, flashy events, or a night out. Comfort is also a crucial factor to consider – if you’re not used to asymmetrical hemlines, don
