In the latest campaign for her shapewear line Skims, she promises to give us the perfect hourglass figure with her new Butt Enhancing Collection. And let me tell you, she definitely delivers on her promise.
As soon as I put on the Skims Push-Up Butt Enhancing Padded Mid Thigh Bodysuit and the Skims Butt Enhancing Padded Legging, I could see a noticeable difference in my shape. The pieces weren’t exactly easy to put on, but once I had them on, I felt more sculpted and confident in my appearance. In the campaign, co-founder and chief creative officer Michelle Wolf states, “We love showing how looking and feeling your best should be as simple and easy as putting on Skims.” And I have to agree, these pieces make looking and feeling great effortless.

The Skims Butt Enhancing Collection features nine styles of shapewear, bodysuits, and leggings designed to lift and round your buttocks.
Most products have mid-level compression and support, and the built-in butt pads add up to two inches of volume.
The collection is available in sizes XXS-4X and comes in six neutral shades: Sand, Clay, Sienna, Jasper, Cocoa, and Onyx. The leggings are only available in Onyx.

Why I Love the Skims Butt Enhancing Collection
The most notable feature of the Skims Butt Enhancing Collection is that it actually works. The difference in my shape was clear and convincing. The fabric of the leggings and bodysuit is comfortable, smooth, and “snatching” just like any other Skims product I’ve tried. The brand’s signature blend of polyamide and elastane provides a lifting and contouring effect that is not compromised by the addition of butt pads.
What’s more, my enhanced shape even fooled my partner. When he saw me wearing the collection, he exclaimed, “Whoa, that actually looks real!” This just goes to show how well the pieces blend with your natural shape. I also appreciate that the collection offers a range of sizes and colors, making it accessible to everyone.
Things to Consider Before Purchasing the Skims Butt Enhancing Collection
It’s worth noting that the Butt Enhancing products have a unique feel. The sewn-in pads at the rear add two inches of volume, which takes some getting used to. Sitting down or brushing your behind against any object may feel a bit unnatural at first. While the shape appears to be your own, it is actually created by the fabric of the clothing. This is something to keep in mind if you prefer a more natural look. Additionally, the leggings are currently only available in Onyx and are waitlisted at the moment.
The push-up bodysuit is also a bit tricky to put on. It took me a couple of minutes to adjust the straps and position the pads correctly. So, make sure you give yourself enough time when getting dressed if you plan to wear it under your clothes. I also found that the bodysuit doesn’t work well with short dresses as the raw cut leg openings may peek out.
